Ronaldo's not leaving us: Real Madrid president Perez

Ronaldo was a world-record signing of intent from United after Perez returned as president eight years ago, the forward being part of a £225million summer spending spree that also saw the likes of Kaka, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso move to Real. "No offer has been received for him".

Ronaldo was livid over being singled out for disproportionate treatment after the Spanish prosecutors accused him of defrauding the authorities of €14.7m (£12.8m).

The current Manchester United manager left Spain in 2013 to rejoin Chelsea.

His thoughts on Cristiano Ronaldo potentially leaving Real Madrid have caught the headlines.

Real insisted they were "absolutely convinced" Ronaldo would prove his innocence and pledged him the club's "full confidence".

During his tenure he managed to bring in some of the best worldwide footballers, including Luis Figo, David Beckham, and Cristiano Ronaldo .

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez says that the situation surrounding Cristian Ronaldo's future is "very strange".

Portuguese sports daily A Bola had also claimed that Perez had already been informed of the 32-year-old's decision.

Perez said Real "have not received any offers for Cristiano, Morata or James as some media have stated", adding: "Our priority is to keep our current core of players, and that is why we are not going to make any movements".

Does Ronaldo really want to leave Real, or is he angling after a better deal?

"We will continue to work on this project without falling into the trap of complacency, putting more emphasis on youth", he said.

Cristiano Ronaldo : Real Madrid star summoned for July 31 tax hearing
Ronaldo is reportedly ready to quit Madrid after allegations that he owes £12.9 million in unpaid taxes. Perez said he could understood why Ronaldo had been upset after he was accused last week of tax fraud.

The 70-year-old construction magnate's third term in charge of Europe's most successful club spanning 15 years - 2000-2006 and since 2009 - will be rubber stamped at a ceremony at the Santiago Bernabeu later Monday.

"Last year we had a possibility that we didn't take, and now we have no agreement with Manchester United to sign him".

"We are accustomed to intensive speculation on possible arrivals and departures during the transfer period", said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

The rumour mills are on full swing and the biggest news seems to be about none other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Colombia worldwide was left out of Zidane's squad for the Champions League final victory over Juventus, fuelling speculation he would be sold, but Perez has no interest in parting with the playmaker.
