Ronaldo set for July court date in tax fraud case

Ronaldo's future at Real Madrid looked guaranteed after lifting his third Champions League title with the club earlier this month, the Portugal global scoring twice in a 4-1 win over Juventus.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be staying at Spanish giants Real Madrid and no offer has been received to tempt him away, club president Florentino Perez insisted Tuesday.

Ronaldo's move would see him bringing girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and his three children back to the United Kingdom.

"It would be a big mistake if [president] Florentino Perez doesn't try to keep him with us", he said. "I have a good relationship with him after working together for eight years".

In February, two women were killed when their vehicle got sandwiched between two semi-trucks in a crash caused by a dust storm. Police say a dust storm and its high winds caused limited visibility, prompting the chain-reaction crash.

The decision is said to be "irreversible", and Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes is looking for the Portugal man's next club while he is away on worldwide duty at the Confederations Cup.

Perez's radio interview came hours after the 70-year-old businessman was reelected to a fifth four-year term as Madrid's president.

As well as Bayern, he has been linked with former club Manchester United, Paris St Germain and a move to the United States or China.

And among the first issues he will have to deal with is Ronaldo - who he bought in 2009 from Manchester United for a record 94 million euros ($105.3 million).

"Ronaldo is a Real player and will continue to be so as far as we are concerned", Perez told Marca sports daily Tuesday.

Replying to the rumours, Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: 'We are accustomed to speculating intensively on possible ins and outs during the transfer period.
