Crash, blowing dust close I-10 in southeast Arizona

Authorities reopened the highway on Thursday after a long closure to investigate.

Blowing dust and a collision in New Mexico has closed Interstate 10 in Southeastern Arizona.

Authorities also named Jose Elias Caraveo-Serrano, 30, Susana Carevo, 29, JulissaCarevo, nine months, of Phoenix and Josefina Silva, 47, of Escondido, California.

The stretch of interstate in Lordsburg, New Mexico, was closed for several hours following crash.

Police say a dust storm and its high winds caused limited visibility, prompting the chain-reaction crash.

In February, two women were killed when their vehicle got sandwiched between two semi-trucks in a crash caused by a dust storm. A crash occurred at New Mexico's milepost 15 (Gary) of I-10, closing all lanes of traffic.
