Adele visits Grenfell Tower firefighters and offers 'tea and a cuddle'

Tower blocks are created to withstand fires by containing them in the single flat where they first occur - but this didn't happen at Grenfell, where the blaze ripped up the side of the building.

Commander Stuart Cundy, of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), said another 26 people are now presumed to have died in the fire, raising the total number to 79.

He then said that five of the dead have been identified but that it will be a slow and painstaking task to identify the others.

Last week Adele visited the scene of the devastating fire that engulfed the 24-storey building, killing at least 79 people.

He said the death toll could still change if anyone reported as missing was found alive, of if anyone was found in the ruined tower who had not been reported as missing.

The hospital issued a statement Wednesday night saying Scalise will need more operations after undergoing two on Wednesday. C-SPAN provided coverage, and additional national television, radio and other media outlets tuned in.

Asked whether Mrs May had considered resigning over criticism of her performance, a spokeswoman said: "These are incredibly challenging times, with a couple of bad incidents in a week and she is leading the country through this hard time".

The silence was also observed throughout Britain.

At an improvised memorial wall covered in messages of grief and solidarity close to Grenfell Tower, firefighters and members of the local community stood together, some crying, as they observed the minute's silence.

Footage from inside the gutted building has been released, showing the extent of the damage.

An emotional Prince William described the tragedy as "one of the most awful things (he's) ever seen".

While Pence hasn't been implicated in any potential wrongdoing, he is tied to the Mueller investigation in two main ways. Investigators have also sought information from recently retired NSA Deputy Richard Ledgett, according to the source.

Mother-of-one Adele has been doing her best to support those who fought the fire, those who have been left homeless by the incident and the families of the victims, but on a low-key scale.

"Only when we have investigated fully and properly will I be able to say what happened and why - to speculate now would be simply wrong".

Finally, I am sure we would all like to place on record our collective appreciation to the London Fire Brigade, and London Ambulance Service, who have worked through the night to bring the fire under control and keep residents as safe as possible.

"But we will do it with our utmost professionalism and we will do everything we can as quickly as we can to locate everybody who is in there".

As of now, it's unclear whether it will be adapted to a modern setting and if Cumberbatch will (hopefully) be attached. Dracula will be the first collaboration between Moffat and Gatiss since the last Sherlock episode aired in January.
