Woodward has list of four 'fantasy' Man United signings

Ronaldo was making the headlines on Friday, two days before Portugal's Confederations Cup debut in Russian Federation, because of a report that said he wants to leave Real Madrid and Spain following allegations that he defrauded the country's tax authorities.

Ronaldo's staff did not immediately respond to messages asking for a comment.

Press Association Sport understands the 32-year-old is "outraged" after prosecutors accused him of defrauding the authorities of 14.7 million euros ($A21.6 million).

Ed Woodward has a list of four "fantasy" signings that he would like to make at Manchester United before he leaves the club, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported last night that the club are trying to calm Ronaldo down and get him to reconsider his position.

The business had revenue of $55.97 million during the quarter, compared to analysts' expectations of $52.21 million. The software maker reported ($0.88) EPS for the quarter, beating the Zacks' consensus estimate of ($0.93) by $0.05.

But neither the Real star, on global duty with Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation, nor the club itself have confirmed reports that he is heading for the exit at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ronaldo led Real Madrid to their 12th European Cup earlier this month after scoring two goals in a 4-1 victory over Juventus in the Champions League final, becoming the tournament's top scorer.

It is thought that Ronaldo could opt to join PSG or Manchester United in the coming weeks.

Outside Europe, the only plausible options are Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Chinese Super League, although both seem unlikely.

Madrid issued a statement saying that it was convinced Ronaldo "will demonstrate his complete innocence".
