Wallenda discusses hanging by her teeth over Niagara Falls

Wallenda's successful stunt fell on the fifth anniversary of her husband's televised tightrope walk across Niagara Falls.

But that's not the way husband and wife Nik and Erendira Wallenda like to see Niagara Falls.

Wallenda bit into a customized mouthpiece on a hoop fastened to the bottom of a helicopter that hovered above the falls on Thursday.

The 36-year-old mother of three was tethered to a hoop suspended from a helicopter 300 feet above the water.

More than a thousand people came to watch Wallenda dangled by her teeth under a helicopter more than 300ft above Niagara Falls.

Forces pursued and killed the fourth attacker, who had initially escaped, said Salif Traore . The security minister spoke to AFP and said that it is a jihadist attack.

The acrobat's husband, Nik Wallenda, walked an 1,800-foot tightrope from the NY side of Niagara Falls into Canada. However, the troupe may be most recognized for their fatal 1940s' seven-person chair pyramid act that killed two members and left a third paralyzed.

After her routine, Erendira waved to the crowd watching her with binoculars and cameras.

Holly Withers, also of CT, said she was "a little nervous" watching the performance, "imagining if I was the one to do it".

The weather was fair Thursday morning, and everything went to plan but Erendira said she was shocked by the wind speeds.

"Remember that world record that you set years ago hanging by your teeth under a helicopter about 200 feet above the ground?"

Erendira Wallenda hangs by her teeth at 300 ft. above Niagara Falls.

Both Nik and Erendira were presented with proclamations from Niagara County.

The Wallendas have talked about opening a Wallenda-themed entertainment complex in Niagara Falls for several years, but there has been little, if any, public progress.

In the helicopter cockpit with pilot Paul Barth was Wallenda's husband, wire walker Nik Wallenda.

Speaking with reporters afterward, Erendira said she couldn't hear anything while dangling because she was listening to music. "That's unbelievable. That's awesome, '" he said.
