Trump appears to confirm obstruction investigation on Twitter

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is investigating the finances and business dealings of Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law and adviser, as part of the investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election, according to officials familiar with the matter.

Comey told senators on June 8 that Trump's shifting explanations for dismissing him were "lies, plain and simple".

FBI agents and federal prosecutors have also been examining the financial dealings of other Trump associates, including former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Carter Page, who was listed as a foreign policy adviser for the campaign.

Another new revelation about the FBI investigation into Trump and Russian Federation from the Washington Post.

Reports this week confirmed that special counsel Robert Mueller is examining whether the President obstructed justice by firing Comey last month amid the ongoing Russian Federation investigation.

Trump took to his Twitter account Thursday morning to denounce the report. And second, said Nichols, the tweet appears to be Trump "attacking the Justice Department".

At $500, the Xbox One X is arguably at the limit of what consumers would be willing to pay for a new games console in 2017.

Mark Corallo, a spokesman for Trump's outside attorney, Marc Kasowitz, slammed the Post's reporting.

Hours later, a source close to Trump's outside legal team said Trump did not intend his tweet to be confirmation of the investigation but rather was reacting to a Washington Post story on Wednesday about the probe. ABC was the first to report the news.

It was not clear whether these records would be sought by Mueller, or the various Senate and House committees investigating alleged Russian interference in the U.S. election, or all of these.

Flynn, who was forced out in February, is a subject in investigations by intelligence committees in the House and Senate, as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Mark Warner of Virginia, the panel's top Democrat, didn't provide any other details regarding the meeting.

Gates has never before been publicly linked to the investigations into Russian interference.

The meeting comes a day after lawmakers questioned Justice Department officials about the probe and Mueller's independence, and after a friend of Trump said the White House was considering firing Mueller.

Trump lawyer denies president is a probe target
Rosenstein could eventually be questioned by Mueller about his memo on Comey and what motivated Trump to ask him to write it. But the president's attorney repeatedly and definitively declared that Trump is not, in fact, under investigation.

Sad!" Trump tweeted. "Despite the phony Witch Hunt going on in America, the economic & jobs numbers are great.

Trump confirmed on his Twitter account that an investigation is being conducted against him for firing former FBI Director James Comey, most likely under the suspicion that this was an obstruction of justice.

Grassley announced the investigation in a letter to California Sen.

Trump has called The Washington Post report a "phony story" and a "WITCH HUNT". Last week, it was widely reported that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had offered to resign because of Trump's criticism of his decision to recuse himself from all investigations related to the Russian Federation and the Trump election campaign, in which Sessions had played a prominent role.

"You and I agree that the American people deserve a full accounting of attempts to meddle in both our democratic processes and the impartial administration of justice ..." And with the investigation reaching all the way up to Trump - and with Trump regularly tweeting about it - it's almost impossible for the White House to compartmentalize.

"The message the president is sending through his tweets is that he believes the rule of law doesn't apply to him and that anyone who thinks otherwise will be fired", Feinstein said.

Although Scalise was able to talk on the ballfield, by the time he was transported by helicopter to the hospital, he was in shock. Hodgkinson opened fire on the lawmakers, spraying bullets that left Scalise in critical condition and four others wounded.
