Lakers attempt to add another first-round draft pick

The wait is almost over.

While the Los Angeles Lakers may select Ball with the second pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, it appears the Phoenix Suns are willing to take a chance on the talented point guard.

Things are looking good on the horizon for the Los Angeles Lakers after news broke yesterday that Paul George intends to leave the Pacers after this season and would like to join the Lakers. They made a serious run at trading for Boston's #1 overall pick in an effort to draft Washington's Markelle Fultz after he reportedly had one of the best workouts in recent memory, but ultimately were not able to match Boston's asking price.

Miles Teller Arrested for Public Drunkenness
Teller was out with several other men shortly after midnight on Sunday when the group was approached by an officer. The cop offered to take Miles there, but he allegedly refused.

Word is that we will find out soon about a potential George deal to the Cavaliers, before the NBA Draft this Thursday most likely. The Lakers have been contacted about their No. 2 pick, but it remains unlikely they would trade out of that position, according to the report.

The Los Angeles Lakers are now, for all intents and purposes, in the driver's seat for the 2017 NBA Draft.

Certainly, the Lakers have options, and so, rumors and discussions of trades expect swirl at tornado levels over the upcoming week in particular.

They also are trying to acquire another first-round pick, league sources told ESPN.

Ball, a native of L.A., has only worked out for the Lakers and hasn't even met with any other teams. Seemingly, the choice comes down to whether the Lakers prefer Ball as a play-maker for the future or Jackson as an athletic wing player that can play defense and hopefully develop his shot.
