Koepka in control and with a 1-shot lead at US Open

Rickie Fowler was hoping to wipe away the past.

Neither got what they were looking for Sunday at the U.S. Open.

The gusts tapered off from the morning, but they still were making Erin Hills play more hard than it had all week.

Fleetwood, who was hoping to become the third English victor since 1924 after Tony Jacklin (1970) and Justin Rose (2013), began the day in a tie for second and made an encouraging start with a birdie from eight feet on the second.

Kite shot even-par 72 in gusty winds in 1992 at Pebble Beach, winning by two strokes over Jeff Sluman. That score would have won all but two of the previous 116 renditions of this championship.

Wonder Woman's Record-Breaking Box Office Debut
The film, which topped the box office last week with the franchise's second-lowest debut , slipped to third with $21.6 million. According to the Hollywood Reporter , women accounted for 52% of its audience, in a genre that, on average, is 60% male.

Sunday, June 18th marked the Final Round of the 117th U.S. Open at Erin Hills - and the late Arnold Palmer was honored at Erin Hills Golf Course on Father's Day. Fowler's 10 under was only good for a fifth-place tie.

The result of his second U.S. Open in as many years was the same for Chris Crawford, but the recent Drexel graduate was happy with what he accomplished last week at Erin Hills. "It means I have a lot better chance to win the tournament than I did when the day started". "I would have had to play some pretty spectacular golf to catch him". He opened with a pair of tap-in birdies and putted for birdie on every hole but the par-3 13th. His 9 under was the best-ever U.S. Open score in relation to par.

"If somebody shoots nine under tomorrow in the top few (as Thomas did on Saturday) then I'll have to shoot 10, I guess".

Once he got there, he never got comfortable. He two-putted for birdie, and he rolled in a 25-foot birdie putt on the 17th. He missed the second green with a sand wedge, and he missed a short par putt on No. 4 after he thought he almost chipped in, only for the wind to blow the ball back some 4 feet.

The 26-year-old looked set to record his second bogey-free round of the week - nearly unheard of at the US Open - on Saturday until an unfortunate dropped shot at the last meant he fell one back of the lead.

"It's going to be really fun". About all that save Erin Hills from another onslaught was a forecast for the strongest wind of the week. He made an eagle on his final hole at the Sony Open in January to shoot 59, and he went on to break the PGA Tour's 72-hole scoring record.

Coalition forces led by the U.S. stated that it could not verify the Russian claim that Abu Baghdadi may have been eliminated. Trump previously had said he supported restoring diplomatic relations but wished the USA had negotiated a better deal.

It added another less-than-fantastic finish for Fowler at the majors.

Of the 24 players on the course early, only two are under par for the day - William McGirt and Jordan Spieth.

"I was glad to hang in there, especially that last group", said Harman, who is playing his first weekend at a US Open in three attempts. (Sergio Garcia and Phil Mickelson made more memorable runs at Rory McIlroy at those events.).

Nevertheless, it was one of only three bogeys the Englishman has had through 54 holes and, in continuing to try and not put pressure on himself, he is just going to see how the final round unfolds in a situation that is entirely new to him.

A disturbing trend, or just a rough day on the golf course? And you can't do anything about what anybody else is doing.
