IFixit calls Surface Laptop 'glue-filled monstrosity'

Both the Surface Pro and Surface laptop have now gone under the knife in iFixit's obligatory tech teardown. However, you better get your initial config spot on, as there is little or no chance to upgrade anything under the carpet (Alcantara) later. It also shows that components such as CPU and memory are soldered in place so they can't be replaced or upgraded.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is powered by a range of Intel Kaby Lake processors from core m3 to Core i7 and it comes with a range of RAM options from 4GB to 16GB and storage from 128GB to 256GB.

Rep. Steve Scalise upgraded to 'serious' condition following baseball practice shooting
Steve Scalise was shot. "The Scalise family greatly appreciates the outpouring of thoughts and prayers", the statement concludes. After an initial operation, the congressman was taken to a radiology suite for another procedure to control bleeding.

In conclusion, it said that it is "a glue-filled monstrosity".

While the Surface Laptop might be a fine machine to use (I haven't played with one yet so I can't comment on that), it's hard to recommend a computer that is designed with no servicing capability. But either of those common repairs will result in the Surface laptop visiting a recycling plant or, worse, being destroyed so no data is accessible and then dumped into landfill. The laptop, due to these shortcomings, would also not last long enough and can not be opened without destroying or damaging some of its key components. The complexity of component placement leads iFixit to declare that the battery of this device can not be replaced at any cost unless one is okay with some internal part getting damaged in the process.

After almost four years, Jimmy Spithill will once again lead ORACLE TEAM USA into battle against Emirates Team New Zealand . They won by 30 seconds, still showing their dominance in light wind.

Giving the device a zero fix score, IFix said that the laptop is not meant to be opened or repaired; you can't get inside without inflicting a lot of damage.

To remove the battery, folks at iFixit had to remove a most of the components, which included the speakers as well.
