Canada's Brooke Henderson has won her 4th LPGA Tour title with a two-shot win over Lexi Thompson and Michelle Wie at the US$2 million Meijer LPGA Classic at the Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids in MI.

After the par-five fifth hole was reduced to a par three due to flooding, Thompson notched four birdies on the back nine for a five-under-par 64 on the Blythfield Country Club course. "It's been a packed leaderboard since the very first shot on the first hole". Lydia Ko, at No. 2 after an 85-week run at the top, was 6 under after a 71. Jutanugarn had a chance to nip Henderson but three bogeys in her final six holes were her ultimate undoing.

"I didn't quite see all those numbers, but I knew the golf course had to be softer", Lewis said. I was looking at birdie nearly every hole, which is quite nice.

"It was just a matter of staying patient", said Thompson, who lost to Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn in the playoff at the Manulife Classic.
