26 injured as plane hits turbulence

A China Eastern Airlines flight from Paris to Kunming Changshui International Airport was today hit by turbulence during landing, injuring 26 people.

Some passengers suffered from broken bones and scalp lacerations after being hit with falling luggage or thrown from their seats during the incident, reported Chinese news agency Xinhua.

The injured are being treated in two hospitals in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province after the plane, light MU774, landed safely at 8:50 a.m. Sunday at Kunming Changshui International Airport.

Still, the snowballing investigation has deeply angered Trump, who denies he has any nefarious ties to Russian Federation . The White House has directed questions for details to outside legal counsel, which has not responded.


An injured passenger said: "We felt strong turbulence twice and minor turbulence three times".

In a posting on its official Weibo account, China Eastern Airlines said that it had arranged relevant medical services for the flight's passengers, without confirming details of the injuries. "(We) remind all passengers, for your safety, please fasten safety belts", it said.

The airline did not respond to questions from AFP.

The plane, an Airbus A330-200 twinjet, landed without incident and there were no injuries, according to Kathy Zhang, general manager for the Oceania region at the airlines.

According to the reports, the nearly two dozen people were injured when Flight MU774, from Paris to Kunming, experienced severe turbulence.
