Donald Trump under investigation for potential obstruction of justice

This dramatic development indicates that Mueller has moved from investigating whether there were ties between Moscow and members of Trump's election campaign that advanced the then-Republican candidate in the race to focusing on the USA president himself and his alleged attempts to torpedo the probe.

Trump brushed aside Holt's question about the timing of the firing, which raised eyebrows coming as it did while Comey was overseeing an investigation into possible Trump campaign collusion with Russians who meddled in the election.

"The FBI leak of information regarding the President is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal", a spokesman for Mr Trump's legal team, Mr Mark Corallo, said.

Probe launched after Trump fired James Comey as Federal Bureau of Investigation director.

During testimony before the U.S. Senate on June 8, Comey said Trump asked him to "let Flynn go", but stopped short of calling the request obstruction.

The semiconductor company reported $0.91 EPS for the quarter, beating the Thomson Reuters' consensus estimate of $0.73 by $0.18. Northwestern Mutual Investment Management Company LLC increased its position in Microsemi by 0.6% in the first quarter.

The paper says that Mr Mueller could interview key figures about possible obstruction by the President as early as next week.

Rosenstein's letter critical of Comey's handling of the Hillary Clinton email server investigation served as the Trump White House's first reasoning for firing Comey - though Trump later undercut that explanation by saying he fired Comey in hopes of ending the Russian Federation probe. The five told the American newspaper that three senior United States intelligence officials are ready to appear in front of Special Consul Mueller and provide testimony in the matter.

According to The Daily Beast, Trump officials are focused on limiting fallout from reaction from the president to the report he is personally the target of a probe.

Ruddy's comments come as others close to Trump have expressed doubt with Mueller as special counsel.

Several legal experts told Reuters that Mr Comey's testimony last week that Trump expected loyalty and told Comey he hoped he could drop an investigation of a former top aide could bolster obstruction of justice allegations against Mr Trump.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan ends fast, striking farmers' group calls off stir
Farmers in Madhya Pradesh began a 10-day protest on June 1 to press for loan waivers and fair price for their produce. State Ministers and the kin of the peasants killed in police firing earlier urged the Chief Minister to end his fast.

Trump originally denied that Comey's firing had anything to do with the Russian Federation investigation, saying the ouster was related to his handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe.

Mueller's team includes big Democrat donors.

Ruddy said in an interview Monday with Judy Woodruff of PBS, "I think he's weighing that option".

The Post further said Trump made a similar request in a phone call to Rogers. "I do believe it would be catastrophic, and I do believe it would destroy any shred of trust in the president's judgment that remains over here", Senator Dianne Feinstein said.
