Dash cam footage of Tiger Woods' DUI arrest released

The footage was released to USA TODAY Sports and other outlets by Jupiter police on Wednesday.

The police report following the arrest of Tiger Woods in Florida for DUI. Woods was arrested in Jupiter.

Woods was arrested after police found him asleep behind the wheel, his auto pulled over on the side of the road near his home in Jupiter, Florida.

At the 8:42 mark of this video, Woods can be seen being placed in handcuffs.

Woods told officers he takes several prescriptions including vicodin. "I expect more from myself too", Woods said.

The video shows officers approach the vehicle and Woods, who didn't know where he was.

The 41-year-old was found early Monday asleep in his Mercedes, which was stopped in the right lane of a road. Asked if he was on medication, Woods said he was.

Woods was unable to tie his shoes, police said, and opted to perform the sobriety tests barefoot. The American golfer could not follow a red light with his eyes when asked to do so by the officer.

The golfer told officers that he did not know where he was, after first saying he had driven from California, where he had been playing golf.

They also released a 15-minute version that shows Woods being questioned by police where he is evidently confused. He then begins to walk down the road, looks disoriented and asks, "What are we doing?"

In a statement, Woods blamed the incident on a combination of prescription drugs. I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.

He was arrested about 3 a.m. and released a few hours later on his own recognizance with no bond, according to records.

Woods is schedule to be arraigned on July 5 in Palm Beach County court on the DUI charge.
