Qatar Airways Offices In The UAE Are To Be Closed Effective Immediately


The designations by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates intensified a dispute that threatens stability in the Persian Gulf region and was quickly rejected by Qatar.

Those countries on Monday severed diplomatic ties with Qatar, leading to suspended flights and regional ports closed to Qatari ships as anxious residents started stockpiling food. The influential Saudi-led OPEC bloc largely believes that Qatar has been backing militant groups, including the Islamic State (IS) and al-Qaeda through funding, intelligence and logistics support.

The alleged hack saw Qatar News Agency report that its leader, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani, condemned efforts by Saudi Arabia to isolate Iran, its arch-rival.

The official further emphasized that Iran was already shipping 40 to 50 containers to the UAE and Kuwait every day. They accuse Qatar of supporting armed groups and their regional rival, Iran.


As Qatar faces diplomatic and trade turmoil, Turkish parliament has approved legislation that will send Turkish troops to one of the country's military bases in Qatar, according to Al Jazeera. Trump's recent tweets seemed contradict that stance, however.

'We have moved from breaking diplomatic relations to a comprehensive blockade of global conventions and human rights, not only for Qataris but also for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, ' he said in press conference.

Concerns have grown that global access to Qatar's LNG could be cut, especially after some Persian Gulf ports said they would not accept Qatari-flagged vessels.
