London's Mayor Says 'We Will Never Let These Cowards Win' After Attack

NY [U.S.A], June 6 (ANI): Hillary Clinton has slammed United States President Donald Trump over his recent tweets on London terror attack and for misconstruing London Mayor Sadiq Khan's remarks post the attack.

Before London police or anyone else had announced that the attack was linked to terrorism - the president of the United States retweeted an unsourced blurb from Drudge.com: "Fears of new terror attack after van "mows down 20 people" on London Bridge".

Trump prefaced that tweet with one reinforcing the idea that the United State needs a "travel ban" an unconstitutional measure that has been struck down by the courts multiple times already. "President I will do what is necessary is to prevent this threat from spreading to our shores".

Trump also tweeted: "We need to be smart, vigilant and tough".

President Donald Trump's sons are defending their father's attack against London's mayor over his handling of the recent extremist attack.

ISIS claims responsibility for Manila attack, police deny link to terrorism
According to SITE, he wrote: "The lone wolf soldiers of Khilafah attack the heart of Kufar the city of Manila in Resort World". Troops have been fighting since last week to wrest the southern city of Marawi from Isis-allied militant group Abu Sayyaf.

Sadiq Khan praised officers for doing a "fantastic job" with the resources they have but said it was "a fact that, over the last seven years, we as a city have lost £600 million from our budget - we have had to close police stations, sell police buildings and we've lost thousands of police staff".

Two days before deadly terror attacks hit London, Mayor Sadiq Khan railed against President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord. "We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety", Trump wrote.

The Mayor said: "As Londoners, we will stand together in solidarity to remember those who were killed or injured in this horrific terror attack".

A spokesman for Mr Khan, responding to Mr Trump's latest tweet, said: "Nothing has changed since yesterday".

To huge applause, Khan told those gathered for the service in Potters Fields Park, near London's City Hall: "As a proud and patriotic British Muslim I say this you do not commit these disgusting acts in my name".

May: Well, nobody is ever perfectly behaved, are they? "I mean, you know, there are times when..." before making the admission. Mrs May was asked the question during an ITV News interview , adding that the local farmers "weren't too pleased about that".

Before that, Khan, attempting to keep his citizens calm after the country's third attack in the last three months, had said that there was "no cause for alarm" while explaining an increased police presence in the city.

British Prime Minister Theresa May was among those who came to Khan's defence.

Trump ended with: "Do you notice we are not having a gun debate right now?"

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in a statement that she learned of the attacks with "sadness and dismay" and said Germany would stand by Britain's side against terrorism.

Khan tweeted that Trump's "ignorant" view on Islam "risks alienating mainstream Muslims". "That's because they used knives and a truck!"
