Apple Updates MacBook Lineup with Kaby Lake Processors

In addition to the Pro laptop, the company is delivering Kaby Lake to the newest MacBook (non-pro) and iMac computers too. This is a super-powered version of the existing iMac desktop device, offering incredible specs and some real grunt.

The newly updated MacBook laptops will be available today.

iMac Pro comes with the new Radeon Pro Vega GPU, the most advanced graphics ever in a Mac. That should help general performance and running lots of apps at once considerably.

Along with that, Apple also mentioned the notebook will now get up to a 50% bump in performance to its solid-state drive storage.

But US officials, including Defense Secretary James Mattis, say the diplomatic rift will not disrupt that campaign. About 80 percent of Qatar's food requirements are sourced via bigger Gulf Arab neighbours.

The base MacBook Pro 13-inch model has Intel Iris Plus 650 graphics, while the 15-inch model uses the more powerful AMD Radeon Pro 555 discrete graphics chip or a Radeon Pro 560 as an option. That's up to 11 Teraflops single precision power, or 22 Teraflops at half precision. Quite an impressive difference.

One piece of bad news for the people that have been waiting for this for years is that you'll have to wait a little bit more.

At its developer conference in San Jose, California, Apple unveiled new iMac desktop computers with brighter displays and faster Kaby Lake chips from Intel Corp. and more powerful graphics processing for virtual reality applications.

The company is also teasing an iMac Pro. But what about current iMac and MacBook owners? "We're also increasing CPU and SSD speed on MacBook, adding faster processors and making faster graphics standard on our 15-inch MacBook Pro and introducing a new S$1,898 13-inch MacBook Pro".

Mr Khan said: "Over the next four years there are plans to cut a further £400 million from our city's policing budget". He said that while the Met Police did a brilliant job despite the cuts, they needed more resources.

SSDs are configurable up to 4TB, with a maximum read speed of 3GB/s. Those are pretty beasty numbers, so here's hoping the fans do a good job of stopping the iMac Pro from an early death. Connectivity wise the most powerful iMac so far would come with three Thunderbolt 3 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports. You also get a SD card slot, for plugging in external storage - just like on the old model.

This allows the iMac Pro to metaphorically FLY, providing a level of performance never seen from an all-in-one before. That's an improvement over the old iMac's HD camera.

Along with the new iMacs, Apple wanted to build something for Pro users who might need more. The 21.5-inch iMac will be made available for purchase at a starting price of $1,099, the 21.5-inch iMac with Retina 4K display will cost you $1299, while the 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display will go on sale at a starting price of $1799.
