United Nations court rules in favor Kulbhushan Jadhav death sentence case

A new team of lawyers will be formed by Pakistan to "vigorously" present its case against Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav at the International Court of Justice, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's advisor on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz said on Friday.

But the Indian military force didn't agree with this kind of cruel gesture from the neighboring country Pakistan and it went a step ahead registering a case in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the right judgement in Kulbhushan Jadhav case.

Senior Advocate Harish Salve said India's case on Kulbhushan Jadhav has been emboldened and invigorated with the first round of victory at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

"Pakistan shall take all measures at its disposal to ensure that Jadhav is not executed pending the final decision...", ICJ Judge Ronny Abraham said.

After meeting the Prime Minister in Downing Street, Mr Tajani said: "To have stability in the United Kingdom is better for us". On Thursday, she said she plans to stick to her pledge to reduce annual net migration to below 100,000 a year.

Earlier, Zakaria said at the weekly press briefing said India was trying to portray Jadhav's case "as a humanitarian issue to divert the world's attention from his role in fomenting terrorism" inside Pakistan.

The court rejected Pakistan's claim at a hearing on Monday that the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations did not apply because the case involved an alleged spy. Replying to a volley of questions on India's possible response if Pakistan does not implement the ICJ order, Baglay said the order is binding on Pakistan.

The 11-judge bench of ICJ on Thursday ruled that Pakistan can not execute Jadhav until the "final decision". "Hence this stay order". On May 9, the global court stayed the death sentence as a provisional measure.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Thursday ordered Pakistan to stay the execution of Yadav convicted of spying.

"As far as Pakistan is concerned, the court's decision today has not changed the status of Commander Jadhav's case in any manner", the statement said.

Jadhav was reportedly arrested from Pakistan's Balochistan province on March 3, 2016.

The case - a rare foray for the two nations into the worldwide courts - has highlighted the recent sharp upsurge in tensions between the nuclear-armed rivals.

"We are very happy with the world court's verdict in Kulbhushan Jadhav's case". "The party hopes that good sense will prevail upon Pakistan to respect the verdict and free Jadhav", the Left party added. New Delhi says that he was kidnapped from Iran, where he ran a business. But Pakistan said it did not accept the United Nations court's jurisdiction in matters related to its national security.
