Trump will not announce Israel embassy move on overseas trip

A USA official said the information, about an IS threat related to the use of laptops on aircraft, came from Israel and there were concerns that a valuable Israeli asset could be in danger. I think the region suffered because the USA failed to take the lead. However, a senior White House official reportedly said the Western Wall was not part of Israel's territory.

Naftali Bennett, leader of the nationalist Jewish Home Party, lamented this week "a kind of change in the spirit" of Trump's positions since he was elected.

However, that is Haley's personal belief, as she isn't sure what the Trump administration's policy is on the matter.

Trump promised during his campaign to move relocate the embassy but has since backed away from that pledge. Like the USA, nations that have a diplomatic presence operate out of Tel Aviv.

Congress mandated the move in 1995 under the Jerusalem Embassy Act, but successive presidents have used a six-month waiver to perpetually stave off the relocation on national security grounds. That presidents have engaged in the sham that there is a national security waiver applicable to the obligation to move the embassy is one of those unfortunate examples of governmental action "hidden in plain sight" that undercuts the notion of America as a nation of laws and not of men.

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem wants President Trump to move the USA embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem to correct the "historic injustice" done in the past.

Trump promised in March 2016 that he would move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, speaking to a crowd of thousands of supporters at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference in Washington. It caused an uproar in Israel and spurred the White House to try to distance itself from the incident.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told NBC several days later: 'The president, I think rightly, has taken a very deliberative approach to understanding the issue itself, listening to input from all interested parties in the region, and understanding what such a move, in the context of a peace initiative, what impact would such a move have'.

The administration's feet dragging is destined to come to an end in the near future.

According to Channel 2, members of Netanyahu's team asked if the prime minister could join Trump during his visit to the Western Wall and if Israeli photographers could also document the activity. A White House official confirmed these details but the Jordanian government declined to comment.

'Supernatural' is doing a Scooby Doo crossover episode-yes, really
If fans were to ask the actors who play Dean and Sam themselves, they would get two completely different answers. It would be understandable if the writers ran out of ideas, but they keep putting a fresh spin on things.

This week's spat over the Western Wall has somewhat dampened the optimism that emanated around Trump's highly anticipated visit to Israel next week.

The trip is Trump's first outing overseas as president and it will include the announcement of a USA arms deal with Saudi Arabia, Saudi investment in US infrastructure and the establishment of a center to combat Islamic extremism in Riyadh, the official said.

Video footage showed the 57-year-old man swiping a knife at the officer in the Old City of Jerusalem before knocking him to the ground on Saturday, in what Israel described as part of a wave of stabbing attacks against Israeli forces over the past two years.

The wall is in Jerusalem.

"It's clearly in Jerusalem", he said Tuesday. 'It's an issue that's had serious consideration.

His argument: Congressional interviews and hearings could inadvertently harm or complicate the criminal investigation. The US justice department appointed former FBI director Robert Mueller to lead the investigation.

Stay on topic - This helps keep the thread focused on the discussion at hand. Speaking to reporters about the visit, H.R. McMaster said Tuesday the question of whether the Western Wall is part of Israel would require a "policy decision".
