Trump on Asking for Comey's Loyalty: 'I Didn't'

The committee had hoped to hear from Comey in a closed session following his abrupt firing on Tuesday by President Donald Trump. Schiller was among those Trump consulted about Comey and was tapped by the president to deliver a letter informing the director of his firing.

Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Republican Senator John Cornyn, New York Appeals Court Judge Michael Garcia and former Assistant Attorney General Alice Fisher will be interviewed on Saturday for the post, an administration official said.The decision is subject to confirmation by the U.S. Senate, where Republicans have a majority. Trump's visible anger and erratic tweets prompted a reporter to ask Spicer on Friday if the president was "out of control".
