Toronto CF Kevin Pillar apologizes for using anti-gay slur

Pillar, eligible to return Saturday in Baltimore, acknowledged using the slur and apologized.

Pillar told reporters in Atlanta there is "no place for this language" anywhere, including on the baseball field.

The Blue Jays suspended Pillar without pay shortly after he apologized in a statement, saying he was "completely and utterly embarrassed" by the word he directed at Jason Motte.
