NBA Roundup 2: Cavs take 3-0 series lead

The Cavs can complete the sweep of the Raptors on Sunday afternoon at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Spurs 103, Rockets 92: LaMarcus Aldridge had 26 points and seven rebounds as San Antonio took back home-court advantage with a road win in Game 3 for a 2-1 series lead. LeBron and friends came back from a 3-1 series deficit to beat the greatest regular-season team ever in the Finals past year.

Lowry sprained his ankle in Wednesday's Game 2 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers and said that he is still experiencing pain.

Cleveland regained the lead on a basket by Love with 1:12 left in the third and Korver added a pair of 3-pointers in the final 47 seconds to give the Cavs the lead going to the fourth.

Oklahoma Cop Betty Shelby Acquitted in Shooting Death of Terrence Crutcher
Shelby, a white Oklahoma police officer, was charged with manslaughter in the shooting of Terence Crutcher, an unarmed black man. Tulsa has a long history of troubled race relations dating back to a 1921 race riot that left about 300 black residents dead.

Without Lowry, the Raptors were simply not able to give DeRozan enough help. They can do that here in Sunday's Game 4. The Minneapolis Lakers are the only other team to start the postseason by going 7-0 in consecutive seasons. Toronto was blown out for the fifth straight time in Cleveland in the playoffs, losing each by an average of 24.2 points.

DeRozan had a career playoff high 37 points, but the Cleveland Cavaliers pulled away to beat the Toronto Raptors 115-94. Kyrie Irving also scored 16 while Kyle Korver had 14 points.

The Raptors fought hard through three quarters, and led by as many as five points, despite shooting a woeful 2 of 18 from three-point range.

Tornado Touches Down In Oklahoma-No Injuries Reported
Flash flooding could also become a concern, if storms begin training over the same areas, late Friday night and Saturday . It still looks like the greatest chance of seeing rain and storms, perhaps multiple times, is on Sunday .

Backup Cory Joseph will move into the starting lineup if Lowry can't play. "For us, we just have to maintain our focus, maintain our wits about us and we will be fine". He contributed 14 points on 4 of 6 from behind the arc.

Parker's season-ending injury - suspected when he needed to be carried off the floor on Wednesday night, confirmed by the Spurs on Thursday - will have enormous on-court effect, since it means for the first time since 2001 San Antonio will go into a playoff game without the four-time National Basketball Association champion guard in uniform.

Toronto lost Powell to a left ankle injury midway through the first quarter. After a trip to the locker room, he returned to the floor shortly thereafter, but was unable to finish the game. After winning the first two games this season, the Cavs went back to Toronto trying to avoid the pitfalls of a year ago. Despite going 0-9 from three in the first half, the Raptors played very well in the second quarter and capitalized on the Cavs' inactivity to take the lead at halftime, 52-49.

Kevin Love had a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Cavs, who outscored the Raptors 66-42 in the second half. The bearded big man attempting just 3 further shots, finishing with 23 points, and did not check into to the game until five minutes into the third quarter. Thompson grabbed 12. Their 25 caroms matched the entire Toronto team. (It might already be that way, considering James has never wasted so much as a 2-0 series lead.) If the Raptors have a trick left to play, now's the time.

Through one inning, Rondon allowed three hits, one earned - two runs tacked onto Lester's line - and struck out one. Cincinnati has lost six straight, its longest skid since dropping 11 in a row last May.

LeBron James was again dominant with 35 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
