Mourinho can't resist dig at Arsenal and Wenger following Man United defeat

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has not gambled with the club's season by prioritising Europa League success over a top-four finish in the Premier League, he said Wednesday. But watching Mourinho afterwards, it was probably the first time in about six months that I have seen him relaxed and smiling. I left the Emirates, they were crying. I leave the Emirates, they were crying, walking the streets with heads low.

"So finally today they sing, they (swing) the scarves - it's nice for them".

"It's a big club".

"I think I can adapt to both [left-back and wing-back positions] to be honest". We try first to get to the final, then if we do it, we try to win the final. He's a big manager.

"Arsene Wenger is not a small manager, he's a big manager, to have that record of winning so many matches is not normal". Liverpool lose to Crystal Palace and limp to a draw against Southampton but United draw with Swansea and rivals City and lose to struggling Arsenal. It's not normal. I really don't care about it.

Juan Mata: Arsenal loss has focused Man United minds on Europa League
When I played for United against Arsenal, I always thought I was going into a situation that was totally out of my comfort zone. The England all time record goalscorer went on to add: "This season I haven't played as much as I would have liked to".

The Spain global started against the Gunners despite a recent injury problem that looked like it could keep him out for the remainder of the season, and says he felt good. We knew we had to win, we played a good game and deserved it too.

Taking it further, Mourinho didn't relent on his jibe. Nothing is depending on them anymore, considering the Champions League fight.

"We lost players, four in one week, when we lost Smalling and Jones in the national team and Rojo and Zlatan against Anderlecht".

"The situation is simple: 17 matches in seven weeks, with 16 players, is impossible", Mourinho said.

Manchester United youngster Axel Tuanzebe felt he coped well with what Jose Mourinho demanded of him on his full debut for the club - staying with Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez.

Those 18 officers, along with fallen officers from years past, were remembered at Tuesday's memorial service at DPS Headquarters. A wreath was placed at the Fallen Peace Officer Memorial in Sunner Park in Cedar Rapids to remember fallen officers.

Before Celta Vigo's visit to Old Trafford for the semi-final second leg on Thursday, Mourinho said his decision to rest key players in the league was a result of those circumstances.

Now Mourinho insists the path to the top-four is closed.

"I think the formation is good for the team", he stated.

"I'm sure he's waiting to tell us he was right!" "I don't think we're going to do it".
