Former Bihar MP close to Lalu Yadav jailed in murder case

A District Court of Hazaribagh in Jharkhand has convicted former RJD MLA and MP Prabhu Nath Singh in a 1995 MLA Ashok Singh murder case today.

Ashok Singh, a Janata Dal MLA from Masrakh, was killed at his house in Patna following which Prabhunath Singh was named as the prime accused in the murder case.

Robert Mueller's Appointment As Special Prosecutor, Reportedly A Witch Hunt
Trump has long bristled at the notion that Russian Federation played any role in his November election victory over Clinton. The New York Times reported Wednesday that Comey wrote a memo following a dinner meeting with Trump.

Soon after the court convicted Prabhunath Singh - a three-term JD (U) and one time RJD MP from Maharajganj in north Bihar- as well as his brother Dinanath Singh and former mukhiya Ritesh Singh, the trio was taken into custody and sent to jail. The quantum of punishment for the trio will be announced on May 23.

The verdict has come as a serious setback to Lalu Prasad as both his trusted men, Prabhunath Singh and Mohammad Shahabuddin, are now being pushed behind the bars. Three others were injured in the blast that was triggered at the behest of Prabhunath Singh, who was defeated by Ashok Singh in the Assembly polls just three months ago.

Madrid Open: Djokovic, Nadal fight on as Wawrinka bows out
Nadal didn't convert any of his six break point chances in the first set but had no problems in the tie-break to take the opener. Fognini played aggressively, however, and forced Nadal on to the defensive as he took the match into a deciding set.

"Justice has prevailed after 22 long years. Prabhunath had openly said that my brother will be killed within 90 days of becoming legislator and was killed on the 90th day", Tarkeshwar Singh, Ashok Singh's brother, told a news channel. "My husband had survived an attack masterminded by him a few years before his murder", she added.

Initially a vocal opponent of Prasad, Singh joined the RJD in 2012.
