LEGO Star Wars May the Fourth Build: Grand Admiral Thrawn's

May 4 is an unofficial holiday on which fans of George Lucas' far, far away universe celebrate Star Wars.

Star Wars mania is in full swing for Thursday's Star Wars Day.

One of the earliest known references to the day followed the May 4, 1979, election of Margaret Thatcher as Britain's prime minister, according to a post on the official Star Wars website.

Officials told CNN that the ban came about following the collection of intercepted material and "human intelligence". Details of intelligence or how bombs could be concealed in devices weren't revealed in the briefing with reporters.


Its Star Wars Day 2017 and that means you can expect to see "May the Fourth Be With You" popping up all over social media.

The video takes clips of most of the Star Wars characters, from all three generations, and uses snippets of their dialogue to create the lyrics to "All-Star". "Congratulations", the website said, adding that the day took off once the Internet began connecting fans.

This year's Star Wars Day featured a duel with light sabers at the Living Mall, a shopping mall with a giant orb that resembles the film's Death Star space station.

Bobby Moynihan Is Leaving Saturday Night Live
Saturday's finale will be hosted by Dwayne "The Rock Johnson" and musical guest Katy Perry which will mark the end of season 42. Moynihan is also set to voice the title character in the Syfy series "Happy!" with Christopher Meloni and Patrick Fischler.


It seems likely that more Star Wars promotions will be happening today, but as far as things inside of our wheelhouse are concerned, these seem like the big ones right now.

Of course, this is an opportune moment to also remember one of our favorite Star Wars animals: Adam Driver cat.

Thunder Bay, Ont. came out as the top city of Star Wars searches while Cambridge, Ont., Oshawa, Ont. and Nanaimo, B.C. rounded out the top five. May the force be with you! This message, referring to the day of victory, was 'May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie.

City of Montreal declares state of emergency from flooding
Jean-Francois Blais, who lives in central Quebec and had also been affected by the floods, called for more government help. Canada's national capital region has also seen severe flooding, with high water levels in the Ottawa and Rideau rivers.
