Another BitTorrent player bites the dust, Extratorrent permanently shutdown

Another BitTorrent player bites the dust, Extratorrent permanently shutdown

After the website went down, TF reached out to site operator SaM. The site came back online the following morning.

And another one bites the dust.

Extratorrent is gone for good but there various torrent websites which can use including The Pirate Bay, Rarbg, YTS, and 1337x.

"ExtraTorrent has shut down permanently", the message on said. Moreover, ExtraTorrent with all mirrors goes offline. We permanently erase all data. Stay away from fake the ExtraTorrent websites and clones. Finally, it looks like the anti-piracy won the fight against the torrent community though ExtraTorrent admin has not admitted to any pressure. "ET was a place to be...." the message reads.

According to a report on TorrentFreak, ExtraTorrent's chief who goes by the codename SaM, confirmed the shutdown of the website. However, over the years, the site was able to cultivate a loyal community allowing it to be of service even after its bigger competitors went out of business.

ExtraTorrent was founded in November 2006, at a time when sites such as TorrentSpy and Mininova were dominating the landscape. It generated millions of daily visits every day.

Users who access the site's homepage are welcomed by a short but clear message, indicating that the popular torrent index will not return (the message appears intermittently).

Now after the sudden exit of Extratorrent, the internet has been going insane.

What are your thoughts on the "shocking reveal" on the leaflet? Rey and Kylo Ren's arcs are teased before as the film "will lead to a mysterious climax ".

But that also meant that ExtraTorrent became the target of ire from the entertainment industry.

How much of this is a result of legal pressure from governments and big-name studios - which claim to have lost billions in revenue over the years - remains to be seen, though it wouldn't be surprising if mounting legal pressure, which had already forced the site to make domain changes, was the ultimate cause. "Ettv and Ethd could remain operational if they get enough donations to sustain the expenses and if they people handling it ready to keep going", he told TF.

"It's time we say goodbye."

Another bad news that torrent community got today was the outage of The Pirate Bay. In fact, it was second only to The Pirate Bay in terms of visitors.

Stones set to return for Man City's final two games
So unless we go goal insane while winning the last two games against Sunderland and Everton, I see Man City as being the team to catch.
