U.S. Senate intel panel subpoenas Michael Flynn documents

The Senate Intelligence Committee issued a subpoena for President Trump's former national security adviser Gen. Michael Flynn.

The committee has requested documents from Flynn regarding their inquiry into Russia's interference with the 2016 USA presidential election. "The subpoena requests documents relevant to the Committee's investigation into Russian interference with the 2016 elections". They say Flynn's lawyer declined to co-operate with the request. He's been subpoenaed by a Senate committee investigating possible Trump campaign dealings with Russian Federation. The vice president, apparently relying on information from Flynn, initially said the national security adviser had not discussed sanctions with the Russian envoy, though Flynn later conceded the issue may have come up.

Either way, Republicans and Democrats vowed the House and Senate Intelligence Committees' investigations into the Russian Federation claims would continue.

"As has previously been reported, General Flynn briefed the Defense Intelligence Agency, a component agency of DoD, extensively regarding the RT speaking event trip both before and after the trip", Flynn's attorney Robert Kelner has said in a statement about the payment.

Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla, a member of the Senate intel committee, said Wednesday on Fox News' "The Story with Martha MacCallum" the panel has "subpoenaed a large number of documents and everything related to the questions we've given him".

Former Acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates testified at a high-profile hearing on Monday that she had warned the White House in January that Flynn had been compromised and could have been vulnerable to blackmail by Russian Federation.

Trump's Tax Returns "More Important Than Ever" Amid Election Probe
After a while, the Republican billionaire also suggested that he may never release the returns because he is being audited. I doubt it. "I don't think it can be sold in this country, I think it's too much of a shock to this system", he said.

Flynn has offered to provide testimony to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and to the congressional panels in exchange for immunity against prosecution, his attorney has said.

Flynn has been accused by senior lawmakers on Capitol Hill of violating the law for taking payments from groups associated with foreign governments without first seeking permission, which he was required to do as a retired lieutenant general.

The FBI interviewed Flynn about the December calls with Kislyak and determined that he wasn't intentionally trying to be deceptive about the nature of what was discussed, according to United States officials briefed on the investigation.

Jay Z signs 10-year deal with tour promoter Live Nation
Live Nation entered into a "360 deal" with his Roc Nation in 2008, which comes to an end in October, triggering a buy-sell event. And it's probably a good thing Jay-Z is building up a war chest, as wife Beyonce, 35, will soon give birth to twins.

Trump fired FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday, saying he had lost confidence in Comey over his handling of an election-year email scandal involving then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
