Trump approval rating drops in new Quinnipiac poll

According to the results of the latest Quinnipiac poll, only 36 percent of people approve of the president's performance now that he has been in office for almost four months, while 58 percent of people disapprove of the job Trump has done. In April, 57 percent of this demographic said that they approved of his job performance, while 38 percent disapproved. The two qualities in which the President has not seen a drop in the eyes of the voters deal with his strength and leadership skills.

"There is no way to spin or sugarcoat these sagging numbers", said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll said in a statement. A 54-38 percent majority want the Democratic Party to control the U.S. House of Representatives.

Trump's climate stance looms over Arctic meeting
I think there was probably a missed opportunity in communicating to the US that the country is an Arctic nation. No formal discussions were set on key issues such as climate change, development and drilling.

Trump's support among voters in general also plummeted to 36 percent overall, while 58 percent of respondents did not approve of the job he has been doing.

Given the above sentiment, there's little surprise that Trump is down to a 36 percent approval rating in the university's latest national poll.

The poll produces a big piece of good news for the Democrats. The president's average approval rating is just above 42 percent, according to Real Clear Politics. The most common words that respondents gave when the name of the Democratic president candidate Hillary Clinton was mentioned, were "liar" and "dishonest", while the top responses for Trump at the time were "arrogant" and "blowhard".

President Trump's approval rating is nearing a record low, with losses among the non-college-educated and white men, according to a Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday.

Quinnipiac conducted the survey of 1,078 voters over the phone from May 4to 9.
